Mate & Jenny's
Mate & Jenny's is one of the longest established, and most popular restaurants in the Palmetto Point area. It's located in South Palmetto Point not far from the main road. The owners of this restaurant is a husband and wife team, named obviously Mate & Jenny. The food is good and it's a popular spot with guests and locals alike. The owner, Mate, waits on tables, and is well liked by everyone. One wall is covered with photographs of guests that have visited Mate & Jenny's, restaurant some of whom are quite famous.

Runaway Bay
Runaway Bay restaurant is located on a hill overlooking Runaway Bay Marina & the Caribbean sea in South Palmetto Point. The setting is both beautiful and peaceful. Runaway Bay is a fairly new restaurant, very nicely decorated and one of the only restaurants that is air-conditioned. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. They serve ample portions and have a wide selection of Bahamian and American dishes.

Unique Village Restaurant
Unique Restaurant is about 3/4 of a mile from Sunrise Villa and very close to North Palmetto Point. It's a circular restaurant located on top of a hill overlooking the Atlantic sea. This is one of the restaurants that is large enough to accommodate a wedding reception. They also have a small bar in a separate room.

Tippy's
Tippy's is one of the newest restaurants in Eleuthera. It's located on Banks Road between Palmetto Point and Governors Harbour. It is situated right on the beach on the Atlantic side of the island. Some of the guests go early to enjoy the beach and swimming then stay for dinner. The owner is an Austrian with an Arnold Schwarzenegger accent. He has an Italian chef and they serve the tastiest food I've ever experienced.

Coco-di-mama
Coco-di-mama is located on the Caribbean side of the island south of Governors Harbour airport. It was recently built by a young couple from Italy. They meet you at the door and they are very gracious and friendly. They spared no expense in building and decorating their restaurant. Most of the china etc. was imported from Italy. As like most of the other local restaurants the food is very good and this place is more than large enough for a wedding reception. Similar to Tippy's, it is located right on the beach. However coco-di-mama is on the Caribbean not the Atlantic side of the island.

Rainbow Inn
Rainbow restaurant is located north of Governors Harbour airport, on the Caribbean side of the island. It has been established for quite some time and is one of the popular restaurants with visitors to the island. They serve good food at reasonable prices.

VentaClub
VentaClub is located at Winding Bay on the Atlantic side of Eleuthera. To get to the VentaClub you go through Tarpum Bay and a mile or so out of town you come to a shopping plaza. You turn at the shopping plaza and continue to the Atlantic side. This place is called Winding Bay and you will find the VentaClub located there. The VentaClub is an all inclusive resort but guests to the island that are not staying at VentaClub can, for a very reasonable cost go for dinner in their restaurants and stay for the evening entertainment. Sammy's place
Sammy's place is located in the village of Rock Sound and is the best choice of restaurants to stop for lunch when in Rock Sound.

Lucky You
Lucky you take out restaurant is located in governors Harbour. They are open from 8:00 am. until early evening. They serve Bahamian style take out food and are very popular with the local residents. Guests to the island often stop on the way home from a long day of exploring to pick up dinner and go home to Sunrise Villa to relax. We have their complete menu and price list on their page.

Muriel's take out
Muriel's take out is located directly across from the post office in North Palmetto Point. If you don't want to eat at one of the area restaurants and don't want to cook or just cook a little bit. All you have to do is order what you want from Muriel and take it home. Muriel has been in business for a very long time and all the guests to the island love her. You will not only get good food but a pleasant conversation as well.

Eat out right at Home
Another great idea if your tired of restaurants is to contact our Maid "Enid" and have her come in and prepare and serve dinner right at Sunrise Villa. You will have to tell her what you want and make sure all the necessary groceries are in stock. She will not only cook and serve the evening meal and clean up when finished but she is a wealth of information about Eleuthera. She's not only an excellent cook but very pleasant to talk to.
